“Bessporno” by Olexander Shapiro will be shown within the bounds of “Window To Europe” Vyborg Film Festival. Some years ago Shapiro’s “Cicuta” and “The Guide” has already attracted the festival audience with the radical way of showing Kyiv life.
The 17th film festival “Window to Europe” has opened in Vyborg (Russia) in August 11, 2009 and continues till August 16. The Vyborg festival consists of three competitions by tradition: fiction films, documentary films and animation films.
The competitive program involves also new Russian films which are to be released in autumn. This year the festival will screen a long-awaited “Room and half” by Andrei Khrzhanovsky film about Russian poet Joseph Brodsky, “The Tsar” dir. Pavel Lungin, Karen Shakhnazarov’s “Ward N°6”, and a lot of other films of various genres and merits.
