La Palisiada Debuts in Tiger Competition at International Film Festival Rotterdam

Philip Sotnychenko's debut feature La Palisiada premiered in the main Tiger Competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in January 2023. The neo-noir drama investigates a police murder case set in 1996, five months prior to Ukraine's moratorium on capital punishment, presenting a rigorous examination of late-Soviet institutional violence.

Director and screenwriter Philip Sotnychenko collaborated with directors of photography Serhiy Mykhalchuk and Denys Lushchyk on the film.
