The premier of Ukrainian film “Gogol. The Lost Paradise” (directed by R. Plakhov-Modestov, produced by National Cinemateque of Ukraine) took place as a part of “Gogol week in UNESCO timed to two hundred writer’s anniversary in Paris, in April 1, 2009.
The premiere of the long-expected film “Taras Bulba” is coming soon. The official release was rescheduled several times; most recently the November 2008 release was moved forward to spring 2009. It is planed for April, 2 2009 to the 200th Gogol’s anniversary.
