French young film director Benedict Banet has come to Ukraine to make a documentary about the famine of 1932 – 1933 and the destruction of Ukrainian intelligentsia in the 30’s of last century.

Otar Ioseliany has finished the shooting period of the his recent film “Shantrapa” (The Riffraff), where Bohdan Stupka stars. The film is a co-production of Georgia, Ukraine and France. Producers of the film are Oleh Kohan (SOTA Cinema Group, Ukraine) and Martine Marignac (Pierre Grise Productions, France). The shooting were held in Georgia and France.

The film “Rejection” (Ottorzhenie) by a young Ukrainian filmmaker Volodymyr Lert was demonstrated within at the Molodist Film Festival. The movie took part in the main competition program among full-lenght films. “The Rejection” is the only feature film that represented Ukraine in the contest.
