The Ukrainian Film Academy Presented Golden Dzyga 2026 Awards

The Ukrainian Film Academy presented awards across 21 competitive categories, recognizing achievements in feature, documentary, animation and television production, as well as acting and technical crafts. Documentary filmmaker Serhii Bukovskyi also received an honorary Golden Dzyga for his contribution to Ukrainian cinema.

The complete list of winners is as follows:

Best Film: You Are Cosmos — producers Anna Yatsenko and Volodymyr Yatsenko; director Pavlo Ostrikov.

Best Director (Yurii Illienko Award): Pavlo Ostrikov — You Are Cosmos.

Best Documentary Feature: 2000 Meters to Andriivka — director Mstyslav Chernov; producers Mstyslav Chernov and Alex Babenco.

Best Documentary Short: 769 km to New York — director Sofia Buhrii; producer Sabina Asadova.

Best Actress: Maryna Koshkina — War Through the Eyes of Animals.

Best Supporting Actress: Irma Vitovska — Malevich.

Best Actor: Volodymyr Kravchuk — You Are Cosmos.

Best Supporting Actor: Vasyl Kukarskyi, posthumously — Oxygen Station.

Best Fiction Series: Limited Fitness — producer Serhii Lavreniuk; director Arkadii Nepytaliuk.

Best Fiction Short (Yurii Minzianov Award): Easter Day — director Mykola Zasieiev; producers Nataliia Libet, Oleksandra Bratyshchenko, Viktor Shevchenko and Olha Brehman.

Best Animated Film: My Grandmother Is a Parachutist — director and producer Polina Piddubna.

Best Music: Mykyta Moiseiev — You Are Cosmos.

Best Song: “No Promises, No Forgiveness” from Well, Mom — Mikhailo Klymenko (ADAM), posthumously, for the arrangement. The song was written by Serhii Lazo and performed by Klymenko and Uliana Zolkina.

Best Cinematography: Mstyslav Chernov and Alex Babenco — 2000 Meters to Andriivka.

Best Production Design: Vladlen Odudenko and Mariia Denysenko — You Are Cosmos.

Best Screenplay: Pavlo Ostrikov — You Are Cosmos.

Best Costume Design: Tetiana Lavrynenko — Malevich.

Best Makeup: Tetiana Tatarenko — Grey Bees.

Best Special Effects: Oleksii Hapon, Antonina Patrmanska, Oleksandr Suprunovskyi, Yurii Bondarenko and Maksym Holovin — You Are Cosmos.

Best Editing: Ivan Bannykov — You Are Cosmos.

Best Sound: Serhii Stepanskyi — You Are Cosmos.

In addition to the competitive awards, director and documentary filmmaker Serhii Bukovskyi received an Honorary Golden Dzyga for Contribution to the Development of Ukrainian Cinema.

The 2026 ceremony marked the tenth edition of Ukraine’s national film awards, with the winners selected by members of the Ukrainian Film Academy.
