“The Panorama of Ukrainian Cinema” has finished in Munich, Germany. A week long festival of the Ukrainian film was held on September 8-16, 2009. The event was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of fraternal relations between Kyiv and Munich.
The film about hard living conditions of Ukrainian miners has been shot in Kyiv at the end of August. The shooting was supported by Munich University of cinema and television at the initiative of Darya Onischenko, young Ukrainian film director.
“An Awesome Tale” full-length feature film by Roman Shyrman will represent Ukraine on the 10th China International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF). The Festival is going to be open in Qing Dao, September, 2009. It’s held every two years since 1989.

Ukrainian documentary film ‘Not Alone At Home’ by Olena Fetisova was awarded with The Silver Knight at The 18th International Film Forum ‘Golden Knight’ in Russia. There were more than 204 films from 24 countries in the Film Forum’s competitive program.
The 62nd annual Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 13 to May 24, 2009. This is the second time when Ukraine will be presented on Festival with own exhibition hall on Festival Film Market. Firstly Ukraine actively participated in 2008.
