‘Donbass’ feature drama by Serhiy Loznitsa opens this year’s Un Certain Regard program in Cannes. Film shot on locations in Kryvyi Rih, a major industrial center of Ukraine. The cast consists of Ukrainian and Russian professional actors as well, as local talent found by the director in Kryvyi Rih. The film is largely based on recreations of amateur videos shot during the Russian invasion.
