Verkhovna Rada To Hear The Problems of Ukrainan Cinema

Verhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) is going to conduct the hearings regarding problems of Ukrainian filmmaking. The hearings are scheduled for 6 of April 2011.

“Ukrainian cinema is important part of national culture, and modern Ukrainian nation can’t fully exist without cinema. Current status of the Ukrainian cinematography is troubled. The same situation is with production and distribution of national films. Ukraine as a state should realize deliberate policy, which will provide dynamic development national cinematography”, says V. Kyrylenko from ‘Nasha Ukraina’ fraction.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (the highest body of state executive power) should prepare and submit to Verhovna Rada necessary information and analytical materials on the subject of parliamentary hearings, specific proposals and the recommendations of parliamentary hearings and to identify the speakers of these topics.
