French Journalist Visits Ukraine To Make A Film About Famine

French young film director Benedict Banet has come to Ukraine to make a documentary about the famine of 1932 – 1933 and the destruction of Ukrainian intelligentsia in the 30’s of last century.

The filming has been started in spring 2010 in Kiev. Then Benedict Banet recorded interviews with reputable Ukrainian scientists, researchers of Famine, witnessed of Famine in Vinnytsia and Poltava regions.

This time French film director is going to visit Kharkov region. “Kharkov was chosen for a reason because the mortality in our region was one of the highest in Ukraine,” – Nina Lapchynska, the redactor of Holodomor 1932-1933 Portal said.

The next stage of filming is planned for February, 2011. The title of documentary film and its covery data is not yet known.
