Cannes Will Help To Organize The Molodist Film Festival

Bernard Brochand the mayor of Cannes expressed the willingness to help Kyiv in organization of Molodist International Film Festival. He emphasized that Cannes can help to enter into cooperation with eminent actors and directors. In addition he promised to show on Molodist Film Festival some French films that Ukrainians haven’t seen before.

“Our city has a very broad experience in organization and holding such actions. We are ready to share an experience and help in a lot of aspects. Therefore we want to enter into cooperation in this area exactly and help to Molodist Film Festival to be weightier in the film world”, the mayor of Cannes said on his Ukrainian visit.

The Cannes Film Festival founded in 1946, is one of the world’s oldest, most influential and prestigious film festivals alongside Venice and Berlin. The 62nd edition of Cannes Film Festival will take place from 13—24 May 2009. The President of the Jury will be French actress Isabelle Huppert.
