Kyiv CoProduction Meetings

For the first time in Ukraine a business platform for co-production of TV projects has been launched  – Kiev CoProduction Meetings, held on September, 11 under premises of Kyiv Media Week, which brought together independent TV producers and representatives of professional associations, television companies, production companies, studios and investors from the countries of the CIS, Eastern and Western Europe, the Caucasus region. The total number of projects that participated in Kiev CoProduction Meetings and included in the catalog of projects is 42.

International experts discussed all aspects of the practice of co-production and provided some recommendations to the producers:

“The greater the number of countries you are able to attract as co-producers, the easier will be attracting broadcasters which could complete the budget for the project and will assure its further progress,” – said Bjorn Ericsen, Euromedia, Denmark.

“Tax incentives aren’t as important  as an opportunity to involve the state as a co-investor, finding a good director and providing overall savings of the budget”, – said Dariusz Jablonski, Apple Film, Poland.
