Ukrainian State Agency for Cinematography reported to the press

Ukrainian State Agency for Cinematography reported to the press on April 9, about the results since 2011, and shared the planes for the future.

Kateryna Kopylova, head of the Agency, informed the journalists that among the tasks completed by the Agency during this time are the record state budget for the film industry since independence of Ukraine, the implementation of tax holidays for domestic producers of films, joining of domestic film projects to the European market of co-production, a successful festival history of films supported by state funding programme and others.

Its’ main achievement the Agency considers the implementation of a new system of competitive selection of film projects to receive state funding, which is the first step in the transition to the Producers’ way of the film industry. In 2013 it is planned to produce around 15 full-length feature films with state support.
