“The Deafness” By Slaboshpitsky Is Selected For The Film Festival In Croatia

Myroslav Slaboshpitsky’s short film ‘The Deafness’ will compete for the main prise at the Split Film Festival/International Festival of New Film. The annual film festival take place in Split (Croatia) from 11th to 18th of September 2010.

The International Festival Of New Film was found for all new, innovative, personal, experimental, radical work (film, video, new media) of all genres and lengths, whether it was made on shoe string budget, or is a studio release.

‘The Deafness’ is a 10-minute episode in the life of deaf-and-dumb boarding school inmates is
reconstructed in real time.

Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy was born 1974 in Kiev/Ukraine. He studied film directing at the College of Drama and Art and has worked for Dovshenko Studio in Kiev and Lenfilm in St.Petersburg. Apart from this, he has written several television screenplays and has published his work as a short story writer. After ‘The Incident‘ in 2006, his third film ‘Diagnosis’ has been premiered at the 59 Berlin International Film Festival, ‘Deafness’ is his 4th film.
