“You, My Joy” by Loznitsa Won The Grand Prix

Sergiy Loznitsa’s film You, My Joy was awarded with the Grand Prix of the VOICES International Film Festival, which was held in Vologda (Russia) from 4 to 9 July.
The festival’s competition program was copmosed of 10 films selected from across Europe. The winner of Grand Prix takes a prise in ammount of 30 000 euro.
The international jury was headed by Russian director Sergei Bodrov. The judicial panel also included Polish director Krzysztof Zanussi, a French comedian Claude Brasseur, director of the ‘Molodist’ Kiev International Film Festival Andriy Khalpakhchi, Russian actors Alexei Guskov and Daria Moroz.
Earlier You, My Joy represented Ukraine at the Cannes Film Festival. In June Sergei Loznitsa’s debut feature was honoured with two awards of the Kinotavr Sochi Open Russian Film Festival: the prize for best director and the main prize of the Russia Guild of Film Critics.
