The film “Rejection” (Ottorzhenie) by a young Ukrainian filmmaker Volodymyr Lert was demonstrated within at the Molodist Film Festival. The movie took part in the main competition program among full-lenght films. “The Rejection” is the only feature film that represented Ukraine in the contest.

The 39th Molodist International Film Festival will start in Kyiv on October 24, with the festival’s opening ceremony held at the “Kyiv” Cinema. Ukraine’s main movie event of the year is going to take place in Kyiv October, 24 – November, 1.
The song “Potsilunok” (“The Kiss”) by Ukrainian music band “Mertvyj Piven” was used as the soundtraсk to the film “Cold Souls” directed by Sophie Barthes and Andrij Parekh. It was the Perekh’s idea, co-producer and cameraman of the movie, to choose this song.
The film “Diagnosis” by Myroslav Slaboshpitsky will be screened in the European Universities within the frame of The European Film Festival. ‘The youth is the best part of mankind. Only young people make revolutions and revolts. We are going away but they should live further’ Slaboshpitsky clarified why the youth audience had been chosen.
