The XVII International Children Film Festival Has Finished In Crimea

The International children film festival “Artek” has been held in Crimea during last week. In the course of the festival week, about 3,500 young spectators in Artek from seven countries of the world, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, the United States, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, managed to watch over 25 new films from 15 countries, shot for children and youth.

The competition program presented nine films for family watch from Austria, Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, the United States, France, Latvia, Russia and Poland had been assessed by the professional and child juries. The films by Ukrainian filmmakers were shown in out-of-competition program.

Artek visitors also had over 100 master classes and creative meetings with known actors, TV presenters and producers. This year festival was held under the motto: “We create fairy tale themselves”.

The main prize of the 17th Artek international child film festival by the professional jury decision was given to Polish film “Tricks” (Sztuczki) by Andrzej Jakimowski. “The Twelfth summer” (Russia) was called ‘The Best Film For Family Watching’. The film “Tales For Goodnight” was awarded by young jury as ‘The Most Fascinating Film’.
