David Lynch Has Visited Kyiv

David Lynch American film director, screenwriter, producer, painter, cartoonist, composer, video and performance artist has come to Kyiv these days. He is known as a director of Eraserhead, Elephant Man, Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, Straight Story, Mulholland Drive, and INLAND EMPIRE. In Ukraine David Lynch is going to present his own book, give a press conferences and meet with students of Kyiv Film School.

Lynch’s book, “Catching the Big Fish”, discusses the impact of the Transcendental Meditation technique on his creative process. He is donating all author’s royalties to the David Lynch Foundation. As a part of his visit Lynch will open the representative office of his Foundation in Kyiv. The members of David Lynch Foundation are also Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Moby.

In July 2005, David Lynch launched the Foundation For Consciousness-Based Education and Peace established to help finance scholarships for students in middle and high schools, and to fund research on the Transcendental Meditation technique and its effects on learning. He promotes his vision on college campuses with ongoing tours that began in September 2005.
